I was wondering how many auditions per year does average tall actor get. To answer this question, one would have to analyze if being tall actor creates more opportunities ore more exclusions.

My latest research into the demand for tall actors went like this. For three days in the raw, I searched LA Casting for auditions asking for tall male actors. On the day one, only 4% of casting notices were describing required talent to be tall. On the day two, 9% and on the day three, 11%.

So, marketing yourself in Hollywood as a tall actor, means you are entering a niche – with less opportunities. But this niche, also has less competition because there are less people competing in it. So, it has its good sides as well.
